With this training she is also taking Trauma Sensitive yoga classes and mindfulness programs to further her reach of students and clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Homeopathy is a safe and natural method of healing that has been practiced worldwide for over 200 years. It is a system of medicine that delivers a gentle, rapid and permanent response to illness. Homeopathy works by stimulating the body’s own natural ability to heal itself. Symptoms are not viewed as expression of disease rather; they are an expression of the body’s attempt at cure. Personalizing treatment and considering the patient as a whole using physical, mental and emotional symptoms is significant to the treatment process as it enables the homeopath to select a remedy that best suits each individual and their illness.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

By deciding to become a patient, the initial consultation will last approximately 90 to 120 minutes in length. This will assess your full health history including the primary illness to be treated.

Do I need to return for a second appointment?

Follow-up appointments are an extremely important aspect of treatment. They are used to assess the level of improvement and how the body is responding to the homeopathic remedy.

How Does Homeopathy Treat Illness?

The body performs optimally when all systems are in balance, commonly referred to as homeostasis; however when physical, mental, emotional and environmental factors cause a mis-tunement, the body will express symptoms of disease. Homeopathy works by stimulating the body’s natural ability to heal itself. As a Homeopath, it is my job to determine which homeopathic remedy is best suited to treat the symptoms being presented on an individual basis.

Chronic and Acute Diseases Commonly Treated with Homeopathy:

• Men and Women Complaints (Fertility, Pregnancy, Labour and Delivery, Menses, Fibroids, PMS, Menopause, Erectile Dysfunction, Enlarged Prostate, Lowered Libido)
• Digestive Complaints

Is Homeopath safe if I am pregnant?

What is a homeopathic Remedy?

Homeopathic remedies are energetic properties of substances found in nature, specifically plants, animals and minerals. They are diluted forms of each substance that in their smallest energetic form, are able to treat a variety of illnesses safely and effectively.

What is the difference between Homeopathy and Naturopathy?

Homeopathy is a specific form of medicine, and as such Homeopaths are trained solely and extensively in this form of treatment. Naturopathy is a generalized treatment system based on natural medicine. A Naturopath has a generalized method of treatment using several natural modalities, including general training in Homeopathy.

Is Homeopathy covered under OHIP or by private insurance?

Homeopathy is not covered under OHIP. Many private insurance companies do provide homeopathic coverage; it is the responsibility of the patient to obtain reimbursement.

Can I still seek Homeopathic treatment if I am taking medication prescribed by my physician?

Homeopathic remedies are safe, will not interfere with prescribed medications and can therefore be taken together to treat illness.
